Top-line Caddy CT6 gets V-Sport treatment

Don’t you just love the current horsepower war the car business is in right now? Mark our words, we are living in what might be the final golden-era of the petro-burning automobile.

Cadillac CT6 V

With this in mind, Cadillac’s just revealed their latest V-Sport-trimmed car. For those not in the know, V-Sport is like BMW’s M-Performance cars or Mercedes’ AMG light versions. The get many go-fast goodies and more power but not the full gambit with aero, monster brakes and the likes.

As part of this reveal, the CT6 is shown for the first time with a facelift inspired by the Escala concept introduced at the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2016.

The CT6 V-Sport does however gain an all-new Caddy-only twin-turbocharged 4.2-litre V8 that is good for 550-horsepower and 627 lb.-ft. of torque. A non-V-Sport version of this engine will develop “only” 500-horsepower and 553 torques. A 10-speed automatic transmission and AWD will do their best to keep power under control.
