Modern vehicles have never been safer. Thanks to incredible advances in both active and passive safety, you and your passengers are quite safe if an accident should happen, which is less and less likely now that we have such advances in driver assistance technologies.
Nevertheless, the more safe practices we put into action, the better off we will be. So, here are a few quick tips that we often forget but that can prevent serious injuries, or accidents.
Headlights
Your vehicle’s headlights are very important, especially at night. That’s why you want to make sure that your headlights are in good condition and, more importantly, that your headlight cover is not dirty or damaged. Also, if you feel like you can’t see very well at night, aftermarket light bulbs could be a good option.
Tires
Your tires are the only point of contact between your vehicle and the road. Therefore, you want to make sure that your tires are in good condition, and that they are properly inflated. Also, ensure that when the weather gets cold, you put on your winter tires sooner rather than later.
Everything else
This may not seem very important, but it is important to make sure you don’t leave too many objects lying around your vehicle. Things like tools, shoes, even tissue boxes, can cause an injury in the event of a crash.
