Most new vehicles have a base 3 year\/60,000 kilometer warranty that protects most mechanical components (except normal wear on your brakes or your wipers, for example), and a longer 5 year\/100,000 kilometers which protects other elements. The point of this article is to highlight the importance of getting your vehicle serviced before the end of the warranty in order to pick up major repairs that may only become necessary once the warranty is over and you have to pay out of pocket.<\/p>\n<p>When having your vehicle inspected before the end of the warranty, make sure the suspension, steering, transmission, engine, exhaust system, and body are checked for wear and tear.
