370Z Heritage Edition<\/strong><\/p>\n

Decals seem to be the preferred way for carmakers to differentiate specific and special editions of some of their cars. In Nissan\u2019s case, the long-running 370Z will earn a Heritage Edition that will be offered in one of two colours, namely Chicane Yellow or Magnetic Black and the aforementioned exterior graphics.<\/p>\n

Many Z enthusiasts were hoping to get a glimpse of the next Z at this year\u2019s NYIAS but it would seem as though we\u2019re all going to have to wait a little while longer. Besides, 2019 will mark the car\u2019s 50th<\/sup> anniversary and what better way is there to mark such an important occasion than to launch an all-new car? Let\u2019s hope Nissan plays its cards right.<\/p>\n

The 2018 Heritage Edition 370Z will arrive in US dealer showrooms (that\u2019s right, it\u2019s not coming to Canada) this spring and it will be based on the most basic Z, in other words, the most popular and interesting of the trims. Other exterior enhancements will come in the form of new front and rear light, black chrome door handles, a unique rear fascia paint scheme and the two colours.<\/p>\n

Mechanically, the 6-speed manual will get an EXEDY high-performance clutch for a little more performance feel from the 332-horsepower 3.7-liter V6. The optional 7-speed automatic with Downshift Rev Matching (DRM) will be one of the few other ways to enhance the car.<\/p>\n

This is our opportunity to say farewell to the 370Z!<\/p>\n

GT-R Track Edition<\/strong><\/p>\n

Midway through last year, Nissan launched a posher version of their iconic supercar, aka Godzilla. Shortly thereafter, the NISMO version was introduced and as if to bridge the gap between the two, Nissan has now introduced the Track Edition for the US market.<\/p>\n

The R35 is another product from the large Japanese manufacturer that is getting long in the tooth but being a low-volume, expensive high-performance car has its advantages. Creating interesting versions also works. Body shell rigidity has been increased and the advanced suspension receives unique NISMO tuning. The Track weighs less than the Premium and is blessed with NISMO-spec tires. All of this should translate into an involved driving experience for the person behind the wheel.<\/p>\n

On top of these features, look for GT-R NISMO front fenders, 20\u201d NISMO wheels and specific carbon-fiber rear spoiler. Recaro seats and unique red and black color treatments complete the interior look.<\/p>\n

Nothing changes under the bonnet from the Premium. This means that the twin-turbocharged 3.8 litre V6 still pumps 565 horsepower and 467 lb.-ft. of torque. The burnt gases are channelled through a titanium exhaust system while the power is sent to all four wheels via the sequential 6-speed dual clutch transmission.<\/p>\n

Pricing in the US for the Track Edition is of $127,990, up from $109,990 for the base car.<\/p>\n
