It’s summer, and there are plenty of people out there already planning their next road trip. If you are one of them, know that it is always a good idea to plan to bring a few things with you that may be useful in the event that you are stranded.
We know, most of us think we will be fine with our cellphone if there is an emergency. But what if the phone is dead or you are somewhere with no service. It can happen, and it’s best to be prepared. Therefore, here are a few things to carry around in your car that will allow you to be ready for anything.
The first thing you want to have with you at all times is a first-aid kit. Put it in your trunk and you will always be ready should you or your passengers be injured when travelling. Next, make sure you always have plenty of water. Obviously, it may be warm in summer if you keep it in your car, but at least you will have fresh water if you should happen to be stranded.
Also, have extra clothing ready in case of emergency. This means extra underwear and extra pairs of socks, as well as warm clothing, again for those times when you may be stranded. Finally, a flashlight, preferably one that doesn’t rely on batteries (crank flashlight) and a whistle to attract attention can always be useful.
